Danmarks Indsamling

Denmark’s Collection is The United Danish Appeal for funds once a year, 12 humanitarian organizations and Danmarks Radio (DR) come together to help people in some of the world’s poorest countries reach some of the UN’s global goals.

The UN has set up 17 goals that contribute to the sustainable development of the world. Governments, businesses, interest groups and private individuals all contribute to achieving these goals. In order to participate, organizations must work specifically with goals 1-4 and 6.

On 1 February 2014, the whole of Denmark gathered for the 8th time for vital projects. Since 2007, Danmarks Indsamling have collected more than DKK 500 million through Danmarks Indsamling.

The money has saved lives in more than 29 African countries and helped the victims of the earthquake in Haiti. In 2014, we supported again because we know it works. The money from Danmarks Indsamling 2014 went to the following projects, chosen by the humanitarian organizations: Unicef, Røde Kors, Red Barnet, Mellemfolkeligt Samvirke, Læger Uden Grænser & Dansk Flygtningehjælp.
